Balrampur (UP), Jul 31 (PTI) The blood-soaked bodies of four members of a family were found in their home in Uttar Pradesh’s Balrampur district on Friday evening, police said.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Vikash Kumar said that information was received on Friday evening regarding the discovery of the blood-soaked bodies of Bajrangi (28), his wife Komal Giri (25), and their two children — Jaideep (10 months) and Shraddha (3) — in Jhohanna village.
The SP said that an illegal country-made pistol was found near the bodies and has been handed over to the police by the deceased’s brother.
He noted that the CCTV camera installed at the house had stopped recording at 3 pm. A blood-stained pair of scissors was also found in the room.
He added that the deceased’s brother has provided a mobile phone containing content pointing towards suicide.
The SP stated that a forensic team is investigating the scene, and the case will be solved soon.
He also informed that the bodies of Bajrangi, Komal, and their daughter were soaked in blood, while the infant boy’s body bore visible injury marks.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, and all aspects of the case are being investigated. PTI COR NAV NB NB
