New Delhi, Sep 27 (PTI) Two sisters were arrested for allegedly robbing a delivery executive of parcels by throwing chilli powder in his eyes in Rohini, police said on Sunday.
The accused, Nancy Singh, 26, and Gracy Singh, 20, both residents of Karol Bagh, were arrested on Saturday and three stolen parcels were recovered from them, police said.
Around 7.30 pm on September 25, one of the accused women, posing as a customer, allegedly approached the delivery executive near Sector 5, Rohini, a police officer said.
“The woman attempted to forcibly take the parcels from his delivery bag and threw chilli powder in his eyes when he resisted,” he said.
According to the officer, the second accused arrived on a scooter and allegedly hit the delivery executive from behind. He fell and sustained a leg injury. The accused sisters managed to flee with several parcels.
A case was registered at the Budh Vihar police station in the matter.
Nancy has completed a fashion designing course but is unemployed and Gracy is a class 12 dropout, police said. PTI BM SMV DIV
