Amaravati, Jun 10 (PTI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday thanked the Union Cabinet for approving a Central Government General Pool Office Accommodation in Amaravati.

Naidu noted that the decision would strengthen the presence of central government institutions in Andhra Pradesh, improve coordination among departments and facilitate more efficient delivery of services to citizens.

“I offer my sincere thanks to the Union Cabinet, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for approving the CGGPOA project in Amaravati,” he said in a post on X.

He said the project was a significant boost for the development of the greenfield capital city, creating the administrative infrastructure required for its future growth.

By bringing multiple central government offices under one roof, the CGGPOA would enhance accessibility, streamline governance and contribute to the long-term development of the state, he said.

The approval of the modern and sustainable government buildings marked another milestone in the development of Amaravati, reflecting the Union Government’s continued support for creating world-class public infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh, Naidu said.

According to the Press Information Bureau (PIB), the CGGPOA is estimated to cost Rs 1,299 crore and will come up in a built-up area of 23.2 lakh sq ft. PTI STH SSK
