New Delhi: Retired Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra has been selected as the first Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust in Ayodhya. The decision to appoint a CEO was taken after the Ram Temple donation theft scandal rocked Ayodhya.
According to a PIB release, the Air Marshal was commissioned into the Indian Air Force as a fighter pilot on 6 December 1986. He is an alumnus of National Defence Academy Pune, Air Force Test Pilots School, Bengaluru, Air Command and Staff College, USA, and Royal College of Defence Studies, UK. A fighter combat leader and an experimental test pilot, retired air marshal Mishra has more than 3000 hours of flying experience. He is also the recipient of ‘Ati Vishisht Seva Medal’ and ‘Vishisht Seva Medal’.
Three more members were also inducted into the trust: Madan Mohan Pandey, Mahesh Bhagchandka and Nirmala Yadav.
The selection of the CEO comes after the trust shortlisted 18 candidates for interview from among 5,200 applicants. The interviews began early August, as previously reported by ThePrint.
During the interview process, candidates were asked questions like: ‘Do you drink alcohol?’, ‘Do you wear a janeu (sacred thread)?’, ‘How strong is your faith in Lord Ram?’
