Jaipur, May 30 (PTI) The Rajasthan government has transferred the Superintendent of Police of Didwana-Kuchaman district, officials said on Saturday This development comes days after BJP state president Madan Rathore was shown black flags by Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) workers during a recent visit.
SP Gyan Chand Yadav, who was appointed to the district on May 20, has been reassigned to Jaipur as the SP for Civil Rights, 10 days after his appointment. He has been replaced by Dr Pyarelal Shivran, who previously served as SP in the CID-CB in Jaipur.
This comes close on the heels of the transfer of Kuchaman-Didwana tehsildar Kailash Inania, who was shifted to Banswara district shortly after granting bail to RLP workers detained during the protest.
On Friday, Rathore was met with black flags waved by RLP workers when he arrived in Kuchaman to attend the conclusion of a two-day Pandit Deendayal training camp.
Police had detained over six RLP workers on charges of breaching the peace after they raised slogans against the government and approached Rathore’s vehicle with black flags.
Officials, however, did not explicitly connect the transfers to the protest incident. PTI AG MPL MPL
