New Delhi: Ayodhya’s Ram Temple Trust is hiring a Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and the position is open to Hindus between the age of 50 and 70 years.
In a post on X, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust announced the opening for the position seeking a candidate with minimum 20 years of experience in managerial roles. The CEO would report to the Trust’s general secretary, and should hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university.
Candidates with experience as Chief Administrative Officer, or those who have been involved in the management of a temple or a “Hindu religion institution” would be preferred, it added.
According to the post, the candidate must also be a practicing Hindu, and “being a Ram devotee belonging to the Vaishnava tradition shall be considered desirable”.

The opening comes as the Supreme Court heard petitions on Monday seeking an investigation into the alleged theft of donation made to the Ram Temple. The petitions, filed following allegations by Opposition leaders of embezzlement of temple donation funds, have sought a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe and measures to preserve and protect electronic evidence in the investigation.
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP Sudhakar Singh has also filed a petition to publish complete financial details, including foreign contributions, of the Trust.
Amid public outrage, the Trust accepted resignations of general secretary Champat Rai and trustee Anil Mishra on 6 July. While retired Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Krishna Mohan was appointed interim general secretary of the Trust, a three-member committee would be selecting a CEO.
Key responsibilities include discharging “all statutory, administrative, and financial responsibilities of the organisation”. The CEO will also be responsible for ensuring transparency in all financial transactions of the Trust.
Moreover, as the post highlights, the appointed CEO must establish and maintain an effective security system, and enhance the reputation of the Trust and the Temple.
