Hyderabad: Maintaining that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, by taking part in the ‘Bhoomi pujan’ at Ayodhya, had failed to uphold the structure of the Constitution, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Wednesday said his attendance at the event was a “victory of Hindutva over secularism”.
“The Prime Minister of India going over there and attending this Bhoomi Poojan… today is a victory of Hindutva over secularism.
Today is a victory of majoritarianism over liberty and equality.
By attending, the Prime Minister has not only laid the foundation of a Mandir, but also the foundation of a Hindu Rashtra,” Owaisi told reporters here.
Modi attended the Bhoomi Pujan for the construction of a Ram Temple at Ram Janmabhoomi site in Ayodhya on Wednesday.
The AIMIM leader accused Modi of making India a theological country, which goes against the basic structure of the Constitution.
Owaisi said he and crores of Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists and Sikhs were all emotional because they believed in the coexistence, equality of citizenship.
“I am emotional Mr Prime Minister because you have completely discarded your constitutional duty of upholding the basic structure of the Constitution.
I am emotional Mr Prime Minister because you have violated your oath,” Owaisi said.

ABSOLUTELY !! VICTORY for Hindutva over secularism. And who told you the constitution cannot be changed ? Now take a hike. Pack your bags and leave for Pakistan. Or you want me to kick you out?
India had become a Hindu Rashtra the day Pakistan was created. Congress kept fooling Muslims since 1947 with its a cooked up definition of secularism that was forced on the majority to get Muslim votes. Many hardcore Muslims that had voted for the creation Pakistan but could not move to Pakistan thought Congress offer of a mini Pakistan within India would allow them to dictate terms to Congress and they succeed to a large extent but in this Muslims appeasement process Congress forced Hindus to woken up for their rights to preserve their way of living that has come under threat from proPakistani Muslims of India.
Let hard core Muslims of India know that they have to integrate themselves with Indian culture otherwise they should leave India and live in Pakistan that was created for such Muslims who hated Hindus.
Owaisi runs a party which has Muslim in its title, a party for muslims and he is the greatest votary of secularism. Isn’t that a contradiction in terms
