Noida, Aug 18 (PTI) The services of a guard and a nurse at the district hospital in Sector-39 here were terminated after a video went viral showing the guard filling syringes with medication, officials said on Tuesday.

The incident allegedly took place on the night of August 14 in the hospital’s medical ward.

The video showed guard Sunil Kumar, dressed in his security uniform, filling syringes with medication while nurse Richa Kumari was on duty.

The clip immediately went viral, prompting concerns over the conduct of the hospital staff.

Chief Medical Superintendent Dr Ashok Kumar Jha told PTI, “Action has been taken against nurse Richa Kumari and security guard Sunil Kumar. They were both third-party employees and their services have been stopped.” The hospital authorities have not disclosed whether any further departmental or legal action was initiated against them.
