New Delhi: The Mumbai International Film Festival (MIFF) will be held in Mumbai from June 15 to 21, 2024, a PIB press release stated.
While the venue for the festival is the FD-NFDC Complex in Mumbai, the screenings will also be held in Delhi (Sirifort Auditorium), Chennai (Tagore Film Centre), Pune (NFAI auditorium) and Kolkata (SRFTI Auditorium).
The world’s biggest film festival is now accepting record submissions of over 1000 films from 38 countries across 65 languages. The selection committee of eminent film experts has unanimously selected 118 films for the international and national competition sections. The films in the competition sections have been divided into three categories: A, B, and C.
Some of the notable studios that have shown their films at MIFF include Warner Bros. Television’s The Staircase, The Defenders, and The Office, Netflix’s Stranger Things and The Witcher, and Indian films such as Srikant, Brand Bollywood, and The Commandments Shadow.
The MIFF Film Programming is open to filmmakers from all over the world. The festival aims to showcase the best and brightest films from around the world to a global audience. The festival program offers a platform for filmmakers to connect with distributors and buyers, and to explore new opportunities for collaborations and co-productions.
