Mumbai, Aug 8 (PTI) Twelve districts in Maharashtra have achieved 100 per cent distribution of elector-specific Enumeration Forms (EFs) under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) said on Saturday.
The districts where 100 per cent distribution has been completed are: Jalgaon, Buldhana, Wardha, Gadchiroli, Chandrapur, Yavatmal, Hingoli, Parbhani, Ahmednagar, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg and Kolhapur.
The SIR enumeration phase is being conducted from June 30 to August 17.
According to the bulletin issued by the CEO office, a total of 9,54,77,119 enumeration forms, which comes to 97.55 per cent of the 9,78,54,049 electors, have been distributed across the state.
Of the total forms distributed, 7,49,95,143, or 76.64 per cent, have been digitised so far.
Among the 12 districts with complete distribution, 35,52,198 forms have been distributed in Jalgaon, covering all its electors, while the forms have been distributed to all 20,89,965 electors in Buldhana.
In terms of digitisation, Hingoli has recorded the highest rate among these districts at 91.11 per cent, followed by Buldhana at 90.36 per cent, Ratnagiri at 90.01 per cent and Gadchiroli at 88.95 per cent.
At the state level, Nagpur has distributed 92.85 per cent of the forms, while Thane has recorded 90.37 per cent and Mumbai Suburban 93.10 per cent.
Mumbai City has distributed 98.70 per cent of the forms.
The bulletin said there are 1,00,253 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) involved in the exercise across the state. Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) of each assembly constituency appoint BLOs with the approval of the respective District Election Officers. PTI MR NP
