IIT Delhi hosts Sangam Digital Twin Networking Event

New Delhi: The first Networking Event of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT)’s Sangam – Digital Twin initiative was successfully hosted by IIT Delhi on June 18-19 2024. The event brought together more than 100 participants, including representatives from renowned companies, to discuss innovative digital solutions across various industries, a PIB press release stated.

The Sangam initiative, launched by DoT with the aim of digital transformation, is focused on developing a comprehensive framework for cross-sectoral data sharing and enhanced decision-making tools for infrastructure planning and policymaking. The event’s findings will be used to guide the design and architecture of digital twin-enabled solutions. Some of the key areas discussed in the event include multimodal transport planning, enhancing healthcare access and service, assessment of environmental quality, and disaster response system management.

The event also showcased the importance of data privacy and governance in digital twin-enabled solutions. The participants emphasized the importance of collaboration and innovation in addressing real-world problems. The event highlighted the potential of data-driven solutions to address complex challenges and improve decision-making processes. The networking event is part of DoT’s efforts to promote collaboration and innovation among stakeholders and enable the development of innovative digital solutions for a sustainable and efficient infrastructure.
