Lucknow: The forensic report of the Hathras victim, who succumbed to her injuries following an alleged gang rape, shows that the woman was not raped, Uttar Pradesh Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar said on Thursday.
“The forensic science laboratory report clearly says that sperm was not found in the samples collected from the woman… The report has made it clear that the woman was not raped,” Kumar said in a press conference here.
The 19-year-old had succumbed to assault injuries in Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital on Tuesday where she was brought on Monday from Aligarh Muslim University Medical College.
The senior police official said that the postmortem, which was conducted by a team of doctors in Delhi, has established that the death was caused by the trauma of her neck injury.
“According to the postmortem report, the victim died due to the trauma of her neck injury. FSL report also clearly shows that sperm was not found in the collected samples. It suggests that some people twisted the matter to stir caste-based tension,” Kumar said.
“Even the woman in her statement to police did not mention about rape but talked about ‘marpeet’ (beating) only, he said.
“For disturbing social harmony and create caste violence, some persons wrongly presented facts,” the UP police officer said.
“Police took immediate action in the case and now we will identify those who tried to disturb social harmony and create caste violence,” the ADG added, stressing that people “distorted facts” in the media.
Kumar said that the victim was provided with appropriate and timely medical attention and added that samples were sent to the FSL on September 25 for testing.
He said that the victim first mentioned the rape on September 22. “A case was registered in the matter on her statement,” Kumar said.
“Chief Minister has set up a special investigation team to probe the case. Whoever is found guilty in the matter will not be spared… Local authorities have imposed Section 144. Stopping the media is a decision of the local administration,” he said.
The police conducted her last rites at her native place in the wee hours of Wednesday. All four accused involved in the incident have been arrested.

A women was brutally raped and beaten, she was sent back home in an auto after which she was taken to the hospital , the case was filled on the 14th the autopsy was only done on the 29th in which time the presence of sperm cannot be found in the victims vagina, and later the body of the victim was cremated by the POLICE without the families consent, like why would the police do her last rites is she a terrorist or is she infected with some diseases or something like that. This is not about bjp or Congress or any other fucking political parties, this is about injustice faced by us the Indians, how can someone do this to a woman and get away so easily as if nothing happened, why is our law and lawmen trying to cover and support these no good assholes,and why is the media (the Print) also doing the same, making up such bullshit. What has our country turned into?

Will the UP police DGP will reveal, how much money they received to twist the gang rape incident? The absence of sperms does not mean that there was no rape. The rapists might have used condoms. Police should tell who pressurised to cremate body of victim secretly in night?

Section 164 A of CRPC stipulates that the woman against whom the offense of rape has been committed shall be sent for medical examination within 24 hours of receiving the complaint. Did the UP police adhere to this provision. The incidence occurred on 14 September and autopsy was carried out on 29 September, i.e. 15 days after the alleged incidence. The presence of spermatozoa can be found in vagina upto 9 days and in cervix upto 12 days. How then the autopsy ascertain the veracity of the police claim that no rape was committed.It is reported that the victim has in her dying statement has confirmed the rape incidence. The UP police have botched up the entire episode.
