Chandigarh, Jul 11 (PTI) Congress workers should intensify democratic struggle against the ruling government and work with discipline and dedication, the party’s Haryana in-charge Sanjay Dutt said as he reviewed organisational activities on Saturday.

Dutt held a series of meetings with office-bearers, party workers and representatives of the Haryana Employees’ Union to review organisational activities and discuss public issues.

During the interactions at the Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee headquarters here, Dutt stressed the need to strengthen the party organisation at the booth level and directed workers to actively raise issues concerning the public.

The Congress would continue to raise people’s voices on issues such as corruption, unemployment, inflation, and the concerns of farmers, employees, youth, women and weaker sections of society, he said.

Calling for a united front, he urged the party workers to reach out to people in both rural and urban areas and take up their grievances through the party platform.

Dutt said party workers should implement the organisational directions issued by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and AICC general secretary (organisation) K C Venugopal.

Office-bearers from various party departments and frontal organisations shared suggestions on strengthening the organisation.

Dutt assured them that constructive suggestions would be considered in the party’s organisational strategy.

Later, a delegation of the Haryana Employees’ Union submitted a memorandum highlighting issues related to government employees.

Dutt assured the delegation that the Congress would continue to support employees’ legitimate demands and raise their concerns at appropriate forums.

Public outreach programmes, future agitations on public issues and the roadmap for upcoming party activities were also discussed at the meeting. PTI VSD RUK RUK RUK
