Chandigarh, Jul 12 (PTI) Haryana Congress will launch a five-day district-level organisational outreach from July 19 as part of its efforts to rebuild the party from the booth level, party’s state in-charge Sanjay Dutt said on Sunday.
According to a party statement, Dutt held a meeting with the defeated candidates to seek feedback on their election experience, the organisational structure and the party’s future strategy.
The first phase of the tour will be held from July 19 to 23, covering Panchkula, Yamunanagar, Ambala, Kurukshetra and Karnal.
Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee president Rao Narendra Singh will accompany him during the visits, the statement said.
Dutt said meetings would be held with district Congress committee executives in each district.
He will also interact one-on-one with senior leaders, office-bearers and party workers from the respective Assembly constituencies to gather feedback on the organisation.
He said the discussions would focus on strengthening the party organisation, enhancing the role of workers, expanding public outreach and preparing a roadmap for future political and organisational programmes.
The Congress aims to build a stronger grassroots organisation, give due importance to suggestions from party workers and create an active organisational structure capable of effectively raising public issues, Dutt said.
He added that the tour would go beyond formal meetings, with direct interactions with workers at every level to assess the organisation’s ground-level condition and identify measures to strengthen it.
Expressing confidence in the exercise, Dutt said it would infuse fresh energy into the Haryana Congress and better prepare the organisation for future political challenges.
According to the schedule, the tour will cover Panchkula and Yamunanagar on July 19, Yamunanagar and Ambala on July 20, Ambala and Kurukshetra on July 21, Kurukshetra and Karnal on July 22, and Karnal on July 23, with night halts in the respective districts. PTI VSD NB NB
