Ahmedabad, Nov 5 (PTI) Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi on Thursday interacted with patients at the Government Mental Hospital in Ahmedabad and purchased ‘diyas’ (earthen lamps) handcrafted by them ahead of Diwali.
During his interaction with them, Sanghavi appreciated their creativity and craftsmanship, and he also lit the diyas along with them.
“The love and hard work with which you have prepared these lamps while staying in the hospital make them more than just earthen lamps; they are a symbol of your happiness and self-reliance,” he was quoted as saying in an official release.
Tribal Development Minister Naresh Patel and MLA Ganpat Vasava were also present at the programme along with Nursing Council Vice-President Iqbal Kadiwala, Mental Hospital RMO Diptiben Bhatt, doctors and nursing staff. PTI KVM NP
