Fire breaks out at godown in west Delhi; no one injured

New Delhi, Jun 8 (PTI) A fire broke out in a godown storing mattresses, chairs and tables in west Delhi’s Matiala on Monday, an official of the Delhi Fire Service said.

No one was reported injured in the fire that has been brought under control, the fire department said.

The DFS received information about the blaze at 11 am and rushed three fire tenders and two water bowsers to the spot. Later, more fire tenders were pressed into service as the blaze intensified, a DFS official said.

The fire was brought under control at 12.40 pm, with cooling operations still underway, he said. PTI BM ARI
