Thane, Sep 27 (PTI) Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat on Sunday urged young researchers to dispel superstition, examine subjects such as physics, mathematics, astronomy and Ayurveda through a logical lens, and align technological growth with environmental preservation to achieve true sustainability.
He was speaking after launching ‘Project Vigyan Darshan’ during the “Vedic Bharat Youth Thinkers Dialogue 2026”, a national conference organised by the Vigyan Darshan Research Organisation (VDRO) in Maharashtra’s Thane district.
Devvrat emphasised the enduring relevance of Vedic science.
He urged young researchers to dispel superstition, examine subjects like physics, mathematics, astronomy, and Ayurveda through a logical lens, and align technological growth with environmental preservation to achieve true sustainability, an official statement said.
Addressing a distinguished gathering that included former ISRO scientist Chandrakant Ravikanti, VDRO Chairman Mohit Gaur, and Vedic scholars, Devvrat highlighted India’s rich history of empirical enquiry, it said.
He stressed that India’s foundational texts represent advanced scientific frameworks rather than purely religious works.
“India has been a land of science and knowledge since ancient times. Our Vedas, Upanishads, and the research of ancient sages represent high-level science developed in that era. ‘Project Vigyan Darshan’ is a revolutionary step that connects this rich heritage with modern science,” the Gujarat governor said.
