New Delhi, July 12 (PTI) More than 93 per cent of Delhi’s 1.45 crore electors have been provided enumeration forms as part of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, while around 7 per cent completed forms have been digitised so far, according to official data.

As per the status report issued Sunday, more than 1.35 crore enumeration forms have been distributed so far, covering 93.35 per cent of the capital electorate.

The number of digitised forms stood around 11.16 lakh, accounting for 7.69 per cent of the electorate. The door-to-door enumeration drive began June 30 and will continue till July 29.

Officials have said the initial priority is to ensure enumeration forms reach every eligible voter, after which collection and digitisation of completed forms will gather pace.

According to the data shared by the office of the Delhi chief electoral officer (CEO), North East recorded highest form distribution of 18.03 lakh followed by East (15.18 lakh), West (14.12 lakh), South East (14.03 lakh) and South (12.97 lakh).

In percentage terms, New Delhi topped the list with 98.49 per cent electors covered, followed by West (96.99 per cent), South East (96.96 per cent), South (96.45 per cent) and North East (96.41 per cent).

In terms of digitisation, South West led with 1.49 lakh forms uploaded, followed by Outer North (1.47 lakh), West (1.33 lakh), North West (1.05 lakh) and North East (95,198).

Percentage-wise, Outer North recorded the highest digitisation rate at 17.75 per cent, followed by South West (11.28 per cent), Central North (9.66 per cent), West (9.17 per cent) and North (9.01 per cent).

Under the SIR exercise, booth-level officers (BLOs) are distributing two copies of the enumeration form to every elector. One copy is retained by the voter as acknowledgement, while the other is submitted to the BLO after being filled. The Election Commission has said voters can also submit their forms online.

The final electoral roll is scheduled to be published on October 7 after completion of the exercise. PTI MSJ ARB ARB
