New Delhi, Aug 18 (PTI) Delhi Police has found a bag containing Rs 2.5 lakh that was accidentally left behind in an autorickshaw by a man from Nagpur after scanning CCTV camera footage of the route taken by the three-wheeler, officials said on Tuesday.

The incident was reported at the Mehrauli police station on August 10. The complainant told police that he left the bag in the autorickshaw but could not recall its registration number.

An analysis of the CCTV camera footage of the route taken by the auto-rickshaw helped police trace the vehicle and its owner, the officer said.

“The vehicle was searched and the bag with cash was found tucked behind the passenger seat. The driver was unaware that the bag had been left behind in the vehicle,” he said.

Police later handed over the bag and the cash to the complainant. PTI BM BM ARI ARI
