New Delhi, Oct 9 (PTI)Delhi LG Taranjit Singh Sandhu has approved the revised draft of the Constitution of State Allied and Healthcare Professions Council, Rules, 2025, providing for a full-time chairman of the panel and online registration of such professionals, said a Lok Niwas note on Friday.

The draft was revised after observations made by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta regarding certain corrective features.

The State Council will be headed by a full-time chairperson in the pay scale of principal secretary to the Delhi government. It will also have a secretary in the pay scale of secretary to the Delhi government.

The revised draft Rules also provide for an online registration system for maintaining the State Register of Allied and Healthcare Professionals. The provision is intended to facilitate greater transparency and efficiency in the registration process.

These revised rules also give impetus to establishing a clear regulatory framework for allied and healthcare professions in Delhi, in accordance with the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP) Act, 2021, it said.

The NCAHP Act was enacted with the objective of regulating and maintaining standards of education and services by allied and healthcare professionals, assessing institutions, maintaining Central and State Registers and promoting access, research and development and adoption of the latest scientific advancements.

Under Section 22 of the Act, every state government is required to constitute a State Allied and Healthcare Council through notification. PTI VIT VIT AMJ

Nine Years, Made Possible by Readers

In 2017, Shekhar Gupta started ThePrint with a simple belief: Indian readers want journalism that asks why and what next, not just what. And that enough of them would be willing to pay for good journalism.

Nine years on, that belief has held.

And, in these nine years, we’ve stayed true to our mission. We’ve been asking the follow-up questions, going beyond the headlines and explaining what’s actually happening. We’ve travelled across the country to bring you in-depth, visually-compelling stories from the ground.

It’s been nine years of readers choosing to make this possible. If you’d like to be one of them:
