New Delhi: Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya Wednesday tweeted saying control over the state by Hindus was “absolutely essential” for the “sustenance of dharma”.
The BJP MP also said Hindus “lost” the temple earlier because they had no power over the state. “When we regained, we rebuilt,” he added.
According to the legislator, the election victory of the Narendra Modi government in 2014 and 2019 made the building of the Ram temple a possibility.
Dear Hindus,
Most important lesson is that control of State power by Hindus is absolutely essential for sustenance of Dharma
When we didn’t control State, we lost our temple. When we regained, we rebuilt
The 282 in 2014 & 303 in 2019 to Sri @narendramodi made today possible!

In another tweet, hours later, Surya also quoted Indian philosopher Sri Aurobindo’s Uttarapara speech equating Sanatan dharma with nationalism. The MP went on to add: “If Dharma survives, India survives.”
“The Sanatana Dharma, that is nationalism”
Sri Aurobindo had said in his Uttarapara speech.
But what does it mean?
Along with Jai Sri Ram, the purohits also chanted Bharat Mata Ki Jai – that is Dharmic nationalism.
If Dharma survives, India survives.

Surya’s comments came when the bhoomi pujan (ground breaking ceremony) of the Ram temple was taking place in Ayodhya Wednesday. Prime Minister Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat were among those at the function.

Tejasvi Surya’s Twitter record
The young MP has stirred controversy in the past for some his statements on Twitter. Just this April, a five-year-old tweet by him resurfaced in which he quoted “objectionable” comments about Arab women, drawing flak.
Earlier, he had described critics of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens as “puncture wallahs and illiterates“.
He had also taken a swipe at the Shaheen Bagh protest against CAA by saying the Mughal raj would return if the “majority community” was not “vigilant”.

He must be allowed to speak his mind. There is freedom of expression to one and all in this country. Why do all these ageing media outlets and their heads target those who speak their mind….

What he said is right.
If Hindus are in power, then Muslims, mosques, Christians, and churches are safe. But if Muslims or Muslim-appeasing parties like Congress are in power, Hindus and temples are not safe. Don’t bring Babri demolition into the picture. It was built by invaders after destroying Ram’s temple that already existed there.
So yes, Hindus should be united and in power, so that all communities can be safe and practise their religion safely.
I agree with Tejasvi Surya. India is too big and diverse to be seen with an Abrahamic and Myopic Western Rose colored lens. We should learn from Japan and learn to accept who we are a culture.
Can it be read like this” Control over state by vaidiks is essential for sustenance of Vaidika Dharma”.Ram is kalpatharu for vaidiks ,it has made all the wishes come true. Even without a whisper from any sections against 10% reservation for EWS was provided. On the contrary implementation of Mandal commission was a protracted struggle for the OBC s who had to wait for decades.Hartals ,strikes immolations were witnessed in most parts of the country against mandal commission..Is Mandal commission thoroughly implemented and are the OBC’s reaping the benefits, a big no.Even today the representation of OBC,s in Govt sector is a mere22%. as against 52% population.Every year in NEET exams thousands of OBCs are denied reservation in Medical entrance. Sri Rama Janma Bhoomi Trust constituted to monitor and oversee the construction of temple is conspicuous by the absence of OBC’s including the former Chief Minister Kalayan Singh.Even if the mythological Lord Ram appears and tells the plight and exploitation one might not understand.Really appreciate those who created kamadhenu .
Surya should also remember that control over the State by HIndus , could not prevent the illegal demolition of the Babri Mosque in 1992. He does not understand that the nation needs people who are committed to modern democracy, secularism and Dharma , and whether they are Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs or others is immaterial. In fact many of our monarchs were Hindus in the old days and they were as despotic or oppressive as any of the Lodhis, Mughals or Khiljis.
I totally agree with you.
He is correct. Hindus should always control the State power
