New Delhi: Actor-turned-politician Hema Malini may have garnered all the attention for her non-existent sweeping skills but her fellow MPs fared no better during Swachhata Abhiyan event organised in Parliament on 13 and 14 July.
Several of the MPs took up brooms only to clean an otherwise largely neat and pristine Parliament. The event also saw several Lok Sabha secretariat employees pose for photographs.

First and foremost Hema Malini and other BJP leaders need training by the real sweepers. That theses worthies in the name drawing PMs attention seems to have exposed Swatchta has not even happened in Parliament complex after five years since its launch by PM Modi in 2014
Hema and other politicians dont even know how to to hold the broom,that is why the cleaning staff had already cleaned the place . Dare them to walk anywhere near a drain that stinks and is filled with garbage
This fakery of politician MPs would certainly make public hold them in derison , deserves censuring by PM and /or their political party heads .There should be al limit to mockery and fakery .
Cleaning of an ‘ULTRACLEAN’ place like open areas of Parliament by polticians dressed in spotless khadi or khadi silk made them laughing stock , print media also displayed it uncritically as if it is their ‘postmaster’ .If these politicians are so much committed to the cause of rambling ‘Swach Bharat ‘ , let them build movements in their respective constituencies against overflowing filthy drains ,manual scavenging , physically participate in active action and also put such action in print and electronic media . Do these politicians have any idea about who and how lakhs of septic tanks being built in rural and semi -urban to store human excreta flowing from toilets would be cleaned .Ultimately ,it would be human scavengers from Dalit community .
