New Delhi: In the fourth phase of lockdown, the Delhi government has allowed parks and gardens in the New Delhi Municipal Council area to remain open.

Starting Thursday, people were allowed to walk and jog in these parks and gardens. But open gyms, yoga and other activities remain prohibited.

The parks will also be opened for specific hours, from 7 am to 10 am and again from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm.

While at the parks, people will have to maintain social distancing and adhere to the public health guidelines. The Delhi government’s circular also mentions that entry of people above 65 years of age, children below 10 and persons with co-morbid conditions will be prohibited.

While yoga and open gym are prohibited, several people could be seen performing these activities, unaware of the guidelines.

ThePrint’s photographers Manisha Mondal and Suraj Singh Bisht visited two of the most popular parks in Delhi — Lodhi Garden and Nehru Park — and captured visitors in the sprawling gardens.
