New Delhi: The woman biker whose video of a car allegedly ramming her motorcycle on Gurugram’s Golf Course Road went viral has said she will file an FIR with her lawyer by Monday evening, while making it clear that she does not want to reveal her identity or speak to the media.
In an Instagram story, the woman, Sia, thanked people for their support and said she had been receiving messages asking about the FIR as well as requests from journalists and news channels for interviews.
“I will be filing an FIR with my lawyer by this evening and will take legal action,” she said.
The Gurugram police have already registered an FIR at the Sector 56 police station under Section 281 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which deals with rash driving or riding on a public way.
“We are investigating the matter and have also reached out to the owner of the accused vehicle,” SHO Manoj Kumar had said.
Three police teams are looking for the accused and his known locations are being raided, police said.

‘No interviews’
Sia, in her story, also asked people not to try to identify her, saying she did not wish to reveal her face or identity and would not be giving interviews.
“I hope everyone will respect my decision. I will keep you updated,” she said, adding that people seeking information could contact her through Instagram.
On Sunday, a video showing a white sedan hitting her sports bike and driving away went viral on social media. The collision threw Sia off the motorcycle, while the bike was dragged several metres along the road.
In the video, Sia said she had been out on a ride with her biker friends when the car began following her. She alleged that the occupants of the vehicle were drunk and that the driver made gestures at her after she asked him to maintain distance.
She said she accelerated to prevent the car from cutting her off, while another biker from her group tried to stay behind her and block the vehicle from getting close.
The driver eventually accelerated and struck her bike from the side before fleeing, the video shows. According to Sia, one of her friends pursued the car and confronted the driver when it stopped at a red light, but the driver, after a brief altercation, drove away.
The video has since garnered more than 8 million views and thousands of comments. In its caption, Sia said the incident had left her feeling unsafe on Gurugram’s roads.
“I have nothing to say but today I felt unsafe on Gurugram roads. People like these aren’t afraid of hitting people and running away,” she wrote.
