New Delhi: Will Elon Musk ever make his own branded phone? Has he ever been to Japan? A 15-year-old wrote down these questions as part of her last wish.

Liv Perrotto, a cancer patient who had always dreamed of meeting Musk, left eight handwritten questions for him before her death. On Thursday, conservative commentator Glenn Beck shared Liv’s story on X, including her wish to meet Musk and the questions she had prepared.

According to Beck, Liv had the opportunity to speak with the Tesla CEO just days before her death, but she was too fatigued and asked him to call back later—a call she couldn’t make.

“Her mother told me that just days before she passed away from cancer, she had a chance to speak with Elon, but she was too tired and asked him to call later. The questions still sit on her nightstand, unanswered. Liv’s mother shared them with me in hopes that Elon would change that today,” Beck wrote on X.

Liv’s questions covered a mix of technology and pop culture. She asked about his future plans and even referenced the anime character Hatsune Miku. These are her eight questions for Musk:

  1. Are you going to make your own phone?
  2. Are you expanding the Tesla Diner to new locations?
  3. Will there be any new games in upcoming Tesla updates?
  4. What is your favourite anime?
  5. Have you ever been to Japan? What was your favourite place or thing there?
  6. Do you know who Hatsune Miku is?
  7. Was Ani inspired by Misa from Death Note?
  8. Can you make Asteroid (the Shiba Inu zero-gravity indicator she designed for the Polaris Dawn mission) the mascot for SpaceX?

Musk later replied to the post, giving mostly one-word answers to each question.

Liv’s mother, Rebecca Perrotto, shared Musk’s responses and said she wished her daughter had been alive to see them.

“I wish she was here to see this,” she replied.

‘Kept her memory alive’

While many have praised Musk for fulfilling the teen’s final wish, some also questioned him for replying late and giving only brief answers.

“Whatever the mainstream media wants you to believe about Elon, this is the truth: he’s changing people’s lives for the better,” wrote Mario Nawfal.

“How can you dislike this guy? He’s a once-in-a-century historical figure who has advanced the world more than anyone else in modern times,” another fan posted.

Rebecca Perrotto also expressed her gratitude to Musk for turning her daughter’s creation “Asteroid” into a mascot for SpaceX.

“You’ve kept my beautiful daughter Liv’s memory alive in the most extraordinary way, by making Asteroid, the official mascot for SpaceX… Seeing her creation soar on Polaris Dawn already brought tears of joy. Knowing it will now be a part of every SpaceX mission, flying among the stars forever? That’s healing I can’t even put into words,” she wrote.
