New Delhi: Actor Ayushmann Khurrana has turned his African Instagram diaries into a musical playlist, covering songs from the 70s and 90s to contemporary Bollywood.
On Tuesday, Khurrana posted a carousel on Instagram from his jungle safari in Maasai Mara.
It starts with a welcome song performed by the safari staff, but it gets creative in the next slide. While sighting a group of giraffes, he sang, “Naa giraffe na lihaf, thandi hawa bhi khilaf,” a playful twist on the song “Beedi Jalaile” from Omkara (2006), originally sung by Sukhwinder Singh and Sunidhi Chauhan.
When he spotted a tigress, he went, “Sherni, baga ma bole adhi raat ma,” a twist on “Morni, baaga ma bole” from Lamhe (1991), sung by Lata Mangeshkar. And when he saw a tigress chasing a zebra for the hunt, he used the original version of “Bhaag D.K. Bose” from Delhi Belly (2011), sung by Ram Sampath.

Safari playlist
The actor sang the “Dream Girl” song for a deer. “Kisi shaayar ki gazelle..dream girl.”
And in the last slide, while admiring the beauty of the savanna, he went back to the 1994 film Naaraaz and sang “Savanna hai maine, bahut apne dil ko,” replacing the iconic line from Kumar Sanu’s song, “Sambhala hai maine, bahut apne dil ko.”
From giraffes and tigresses to deer and the vast savanna, Khurrana’s safari carousel turns his wildlife sightings into a Bollywood musical playlist, moving across decades and giving each moment a familiar Bollywood soundtrack.
