Hanuman Ansh to release in Telugu after Rs. 400 crore run worldwide

Hombale Films is backing the Telugu theatrical release of the Vishal Chaturvedi directorial.

New Delhi: After earning more than 200 times its reported budget at the box office, Hanuman Ansh (2026) is set to arrive in Telugu theatres, with Hombale Films backing the release. The production house is known for films including KGF (2018-2022), Kantara (2022-2025) and Salaar (2023) 

Directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, the film is based on the life of Neem Karoli Baba, with Shobhinaw Satyaa playing the central role. Chandan Anand, Vihaan Shedge and Purnima Tiwari feature in supporting roles.

Made on a reported budget of around ₹2 crore, Hanuman Ansh has crossed ₹400 crore in worldwide collections.

The story of Neem Karoli Baba

The film revolves around the early life of Laxman Das, who left home at the age of 13 after the death of his mother. It traces his transformation from a young boy into Neem Karoli Baba, focusing on his experiences, his connection with Hanuman and the miracles associated with his life, as well as the establishment of Kainchi Dham.

Hombale Films is backing the Telugu theatrical version, which is scheduled to release on October 9. The Telugu film was earlier slated for a September 18 release before the date was changed. 

The Telugu trailer was released on 5 October, introducing the story and characters to audiences in the region.

Chaturvedi announces Rambola

Following Hanuman Ansh, Chaturvedi has also announced Rambola, a film based on the life and legacy of 16th-century poet and saint Goswami Tulsidas.

Chaturvedi will write and direct Rambola. The film is being produced by Mahaveer Jain Films, Amit Upadhyay and Raghuvendra Singh.

Tulsidas is best known for Ramcharitmanas, his Awadhi retelling of the Ramayana. His other works include Vinay Patrika, Kavitavali, Gitavali and Dohavali.
