Modi government has been wise to approve an affordable Indian vaccine for cervical cancer. Opposition to it from sections of the Hindu Right was unscientific and bizarre. The vaccine should be included in the immunisation programme for girls as this preventable cancer accounts for 10% of all cancers in India.
