SC should set an example for lower courts by avoiding delays in criminal trial

The Supreme Court took 11 years to jail an 87-year-old murder accused, out on bail for almost a decade. The SC has often cautioned lower courts against delays in criminal trial, but is itself guilty. It should be setting an example by avoiding delays that could cause miscarriage of justice.
