The Shiv Sena’s shameless brinkmanship for a larger share of power and subsequent haste to end its alliance with BJP exposes Uddhav Thackeray’s political immaturity and inexperience. The governor and Modi government’s rush to impose President’s Rule reflects BJP’s insecurity. Maharashtra’s political circus has now been reduced to a farce.
After reading Shri Girish Kuber’s column in IE. Five years more in the opposition will harm the Congress and the NCP, the latter in the midst of an inter generational change. Shri Uddhav Thackeray’s growing exasperation with the senior partner not giving the Shiv Sena its due – one third of everything – had created a window of opportunity. Never missing an opportunity to miss an opportunity comes naturally to some people. 2. For the BJP, there is no sensible alternative to the Tiger, a known entity for thirty years. It cannot afford the odour of another Operation Kamal in the state. May the estranged partners kiss and make up, be more magnanimous in sharing the fruits of their toil.
His Excellency could have been a little more patient.
Bandhu – BJP se itni nafrat ki Shiv Sena se bhi mohabbat karne ko tayyar. Kya baat hai apki.

Correct analysis. This is precisely the opportunity that Congress should exploit. It should refuse to give support to Shiv Sena. taking a moral high ground giving ideological differences as the key reason. Let Maharashtra go to polls again. There is nothing to lose, and another opportunity to build on its previous election campaign and bring Priyanka to the battle ground. This is a strategic opening that could bring bigger gains for Congress, and their natural ally NCP. But is Congress so capable of thinking strategically and taking big risks?
Congress candidates cannot afford another election. Other parties too cannot afford another election. In fact, the state cannot afford another election.
