Bharat Jodo Yatra was a good beginning and won him many admirers though critics would think it lacked the spirit of Baba Amte or even Sunil Dutt, a politician from his own party.

Rahul Gandhi has made sincere efforts with much hard work and a wide ranging imagination to shed the Pappu image, unkindly bestowed upon him by BJP.

Bharat Jodo Yatra was a good beginning and won him many admirers though critics would think it lacked the spirit of say Baba Amte or even Sunil Dutt, a politician from his own party.

Lately, however, he is again making a fool of himself by creating situations around him to remain in news, both by his statements and actions. His gurus must feel frustrated by his antics of reaching places of common man that seem to be back firing. For instance when he was seen wearing a custom made fresh red shirt of a coolie at Azad Nagar station and then passing the small suitcase on his head, it lacked the sweat and odor of real hard work and seemed more like passing the pillow game of kids at home! Even when acting it requires sincere effort, who can forget Balraj Sahni in Do Bigha Zamin.

Rahul has had a traumatized childhood witnessing violent deaths of his uncle – Sanjay Gandhi, his grandmother – Indira Gandhi and his father – Rajiv Gandhi. He must have received professional counseling to overcome the fears and anxiety of insecurity. It was natural as a mother that Sonia Gandhi became over protective of her children. Rahul Gandhi has thus grown up in an atmosphere where the family and the party indulged him and he became accustomed to  being centre of attention. He talks of love but the language betrays deep hatred for those who do not agree with him or oppose him.

Rahul Gandhi’s well-wishers, the Congress and more than anyone else his mother, Sonia Gandhi, should feel concerned.
