Jaishankar visits Malaysia, discusses trade, defence, & education with counterpart

New Delhi: External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar paid an official visit to Malaysia between March 27 and 28, 2024. The visit was aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and enhancing the strategic partnership between the two countries, said the MEA.

During his visit, Jaishankar had talks with the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Bin Ibrahim, as well as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Datuk’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad Bin Haji Hasan.

The two leaders discussed a wide range of issues, including political, trade, and economic, defense, digital, culture, and education. They also exchanged views on regional and global issues.

As part of its outreach program, EAM also held a round-table meeting with the CEOs and leaders of industry.
