New Delhi: The 10th round of India-Japan consultations on disarmament, non-proliferation, and export control was held in Tokyo on April 24.
The two countries discussed the progress of the disarmament and non-proliferation initiatives in the areas of nuclear, chemical, and biological substances and the ways to strengthen their cooperation in outer space security, non-proliferation issues, conventional weapons, and export control.
The Indian delegation was led by Joint Secretary (Disarmament and International Security Affairs) Muanpuii Saiawi in the Ministry of External Affairs. The Japanese delegation was led by Director-General for Disarmament, Non-proliferation, and Science Katsuro Kitagawa in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The two sides exchanged views on the novel developments in the various areas.
