New Delhi: Former external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj met Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu — which led many on Twitter to conclude that she has been appointed the Governor of Andhra Pradesh. This forced Swaraj to come out and flatly deny it –and take a dig at the Twitterati for doing so.

Her BJP colleague and current Health Minister Harsh Vardhan was one of the first to congratulate her on the appointment. He later deleted his tweet. Be wary of fake news, Sir.

There’s been considerable interest in former chief economic adviser to the Government of India, Arvind Subramanian’s view the GDP growth was 2.5 lower than government’s claims between 2011-12 and 2016-17. At least one Congressman has used it to take aim at the BJP. Here’s Salman Soz.

Late Monday night, Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tweeted a video of himself looking stern and saying that Israel will not allow Iran to develop nuclear weapons. Sounded a bit like his good friend US President Donald Trump.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is promoting new vigilance initiatives of the UP Police regarding women’s safety. Looks like somebody is trying to mop up spilt milk?

AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi called out the BJP for spending big bucks on their PR campaigns while many are yet to benefit from welfare schemes. But in Owaisi’s words, jab PR kiya toh darna kya.
