New Delhi: After weeks of speculation, the coveted post of BJP’s working president has gone to JP Nadda. The Prime Minister led the spate of congratulatory messages which led to a 12-hour-long session of thank you replies by Mr. Nadda. Lots of energy on display sir, but spare a thought for those of us who scroll through your feed.
Narendra Modi:
Shri @JPNadda is a diligent Karyakarta of the Party, who has risen through the ranks due to his hardwork and organisational skills. Humble and affable, he is widely respected across the BJP family. Congratulations to him on becoming the Working President of the Party. pic.twitter.com/PCV7ZXjxAN

JP Nadda:
https://t.co/0aGSbiFM4T

US Representative Ilhan Omar blamed US President Donald Trump after Iran threatened to breach uranium limit and Trump ordered the deployment of 1,000 more troops to the region.
None of this would be happening if Trump didn't back out of the Iran nuclear deal.
America’s response should be to return to the table and reinstate the Iran nuclear deal.
Increasing tensions and threats of war serve nobody's interests. https://t.co/KGSKGXATPE

Donald Trump ignored her. He was busy putting out an extremely complicated tweet about fake news—what else? Except that he mistook one ABC for another ABC and tagged the Australian Broadcasting Corp. instead of the American Broadcasting Company. To make matters worse the Australian ABC pointed out his error. G’Day Mr. President?
.@FoxNews Polls are always bad for me. They were against Crooked Hillary also. Something weird going on at Fox. Our polls show us leading in all 17 Swing States. For the record, I didn’t spend 30 hours with @abcnews, but rather a tiny fraction of that. More Fake News @BretBaier

ABC Response:
G'day! As much as we appreciate the shout-out, we think you meant @ABC? pic.twitter.com/GYwZKRVuya

Here’s MLA from Vadgam, Jignesh Mevani being quite the unifier with his appeal to all parties to work together. That’s a big ask, Mr. Mevani.
After Gujarat and Maharashtra, now Tamil Nadu is seeing a severe water crisis – and things don’t seem to be getting better soon. It is high time parties and leaders set aside political differences to come together & work on this pan-India problem. https://t.co/MNi5H4Sp2j

Congress MP from Thiruvananthapuram, Shashi Tharoor was moved to show off his literary side with a quotation from well known Hindi poet Dushyant Kumar, while looking at a magazine cover.

Congress leader Sanjay Jha missed the good ole days when the Congress was a `centrist’ party. Question is Mr Jha, how does it win elections and return to the Centre?
It is easy being a radical Left or a rabid Right. Being a centrist party and that too without a cadre is never easy. And yet, that’s what India has chosen for 55/72 years since Independence.
The message of 2019: Do the right thing, do it brilliantly well and let the world know.

The only female Congress MP from Tamil Nadu in the Parliament, Jothimani celebrated being a woman MP in a male-dominated space. Wish we saw more like you, ma’am.

While the rest of the country celebrated the Indian cricket team’s win against Pakistan, Punjab’s chief minister Capt. Amarinder Singh felicitated the Indian hockey team on its FIH series win. Always a champion for the underdog, sir?
Congratulations to Team India for an ecstatic finish to the @FIH_Hockey Men's Series Finals 2019 by beating South Africa 5-1. You all played like true champions! @TheHockeyIndia

DMK MP Thamizhachi Thangapandian made a fun pun on the word ‘pen’ which also means woman in Tamil. In total agreement ma’am, pen and women are mightier than swords.
Some wise men once said, the பெண் is mightier than the sword. We agree! @KanimozhiDMK @jothims pic.twitter.com/5fDSLiavqx

Senior Congress leader Abhishek Singhvi called out Nitish Kumar for the encephalitis outbreak in Bihar, reminding him how a hero can very quickly become a zero. The Congress party knows all about that, right, sir?
