In an increasingly competitive world, it is often difficult to leave the easy roads and follow our passion. It is even more difficult if the passion is offbeat. Similar was the case with SK Muzadpuria who loved to write songs.

Since he was in school, he would write songs in his school notebooks much to the despair of his teachers and parents. His family still thought that this was just a childhood craze that would fade and wanted him to study hard and get a job. They were also open to the idea of Muzadpuria following his family business. However, little did they know that the fun childhood craze will turn into a full-fledged career. Today, parties are incomplete without fun numbers written by him.

No, Muzadpuria is not a Bollywood lyricist. This 21-year-old is upholding the beauty of his mother tongue by writing lyrics for Haryanvi songs. “These days, children are ashamed of speaking in their mother tongue. Even teachers and parents insist they learn English and Hindi to get better career opportunities. I always loved my mother tongue and am proud that I am doing something to make it even more popular,’’ Muzadpuria said. He loves Haryanvi music for its ability to lift any mood. He wants it to reach far and wide and entertain music fans.

Muzadpuria has been doing exceptionally well due to his lyric writing skills. Most music lovers active on social media have heard about him or heard his catchy lyrics. It could well be said that Muzadpuria is a revolution in Haryanvi music. Sidhu Moosewala, a revered lyricist, singer, and rapper shared Muzadpuria’s famous song, Hope (Bullet aali seat) on his Instagram story.

Muzadpuria blushes with pride while saying that Hope was the first Haryanvi song that Moosewala appreciated and shared. Hope also went viral on TikTok and has crossed 1 million views on YouTube. Many of his lyrics have become popular songs that tempt the audience to tap their feet as they enjoy the lyrics.

This is a great achievement for someone coming from a middle-class background. Muzadpuria, also known as Saurav, comes from a family in Hisar, Haryana. He believes in staying grounded and letting his work speak for itself. Muzadpuria believes that being complacent about his success will prevent him from working hard in the future. This is just the beginning of his stardom and he has already associated with several popular companies such as Sonotek, Spy Hop Productions, Kala Niketan, and Jass Records Entertainment. Muzadpuria is grateful to these companies and admits that they have played a major role in his success and popularity.

He says with pride that he still cannot believe that his childhood dream turned into a successful career. A boy who memorised all songs playing in neighborhood baraats and danced to their tune on his terrace is now an audience favourite for his unforgettable lyrics. This, indeed, is a great achievement.

We look forward to hearing more songs written by Muzadpuria and hope that he scales great heights in his career.
