Surat based prominent textile manufacturer Ajmera Fashion’s Founder & CEO, Mr. Ajay Ajmera, has been recognized as “The Most Iconic Leader in Textile Industry” at the Industry Leaders Awards 2022 held in New Delhi. The award was presented by famous actress Sonali Bendre, and the event was hosted by Ritwik Dhanjani, a well-known star of the small screen.
Ajay Ajmera expressed his gratitude on receiving this esteemed award. In his acceptance speech, he dedicated the award to every member of the Ajmera Fashion family and regarded it as a motivation for them to continue to perform good work.
During the show, anchor Ritvik Dhanjani asked Mr. Ajmera, “There is a lot of competition in the textile industry, so what do you do to stay ahead of the competition?”
On this, Mr. Ajmera talked about the challenges being faced by small traders in the textile industry and also told about how Ajmera Fashion is making their dreams of doing a garment business come true.
Mr. Ajmera said, “In Surat, any manufacturer used to supply goods only to wholesalers and dealers, but in 2016, Ajmera Fashion for the first time started providing goods directly to retailers at the same price at which a wholesaler or dealer would get it from us. We fully supported those traders who wanted to do clothing business by investing only 25-50 thousand rupees. This one step gave a different identity to Ajmera fashion within the textile industry and also gave a new direction to the entire industry.”
Currently, Ajmera Fashion is facilitating over 80,000 retailers, wholesalers, and traders in their clothing businesses. Furthermore, the company has supported over 10,000 women from underprivileged communities to become entrepreneurs by enabling them to sell sarees from the comfort of their own homes.
The Industry Leaders Awards aim to honor and empower innovators who have made our lives easier and smarter through their innovative products or services. The grand award ceremony was attended by over 300 individuals, including entrepreneurs, celebrities, public figures, delegates, and notable personalities from various fields such as business, charity, fashion, politics, and media.
