Iliad reports death of CFO Jaeger

PARIS (Reuters) – Iliad Chief Financial Officer and Deputy CEO Nicolas Jaeger died on Monday, the French telecoms company owned by billionaire Xavier Niel said on Tuesday. He was 45.

“It is with great emotion and profound sadness that the Iliad Group announces the sudden death yesterday evening of Nicolas Jaeger,” the unlisted company’s statement said.

Iliad, which has operations in France, Italy and Poland, did not disclose the cause of death.

Jaeger joined the telecoms company in 2007 as head of investor relations, became finance chief in 2018 and was also appointed as deputy CEO in 2021.
