While releasing 'India Employment Report 2024', V Anantha Nageswaran said govt can't solve 'all social, economic challenges'. Congress leader Kharge says CEA protecting 'dear leader'.
In an interview with Gulistan News this week, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said the government would leave law and order to J&K Police and slowly withdraw troops.
The ‘idea’ Kejriwal's politics grew around was a no-holds-barred fight against corruption. That is the reason Modi govt has now tarred him and his entire party with the same paint.
Regarding Fadnavis’s career. It was too boring, no scandal was heard of, infra projects progressed without major drama except the Arrey car shed. BJP dominated the scene too cleanly. Ncp and congress mla’s didnt put a single rant. Sena was in total chaos. Bjp is a better opposition party and Fadnavis in particular is important for this state, is my opinion. I dont care about his literary tests if he can read and dictate project SOWs in public domain. Ketkar doomed loksatta in his tenure as its editor. The Print can take help from Mr. Kuber instead.
Lucid analysis of the plight of vaining dynasty of Modi Shah of India. The decline of Gujjus is evident. It is just time which will throw them in dust bin of history of shattered country. 135 crore Indians of this generation and the coming one have to pay heavy price for it!
Dear Kumar Ketkar, staunch Gandhi dynasty loyalist, Please speak about Congress performance and role played by Rahul Gandhi (by not campaigning extensively). BJP-SS is likely to form Government comfortably (even though with less seats than last time) with all probability. Kumar Ketkar’s position is like Marathi saying…..Navara melyache dukkha nahi pan savat vidhawa zalyacha anand aahe ….means….No sorrow for death of a husband but happy that second wife became widow. Hope he knows this.
I don’t know what arrangement does The Print have with Shri Kumar Ketkar. No other backdoor politician, that is what Rajya Sabha members are, gets to pontificate on this publication as much as he does. Be that as it may, what he has not written is more interesting than what he has. He is a hagiographer of the Nehru dynasty. Yet the fact that he has not written a single word about them points to the total irrelevance of the family, at least in this election.
Devendra Fadnavis will have to adapt according to changed scenario. He should shift to his pre-2014 image, when he was perceived as an honest, humble and knowledgeable political leader. Thereafter came five years of total dominance. Now, though honesty and knowledge remain unimpaired, the humbleness has given way to arrogance and overambition, though it may be an unconscious phenomenon. I shall provide a few instances to substantiate my point- (1) Carrying out tree cutting exercise when the party was on the verge of facing elections. It can be interpreted as the leader is not bothered about what kind of image he is projecting. (2) Inviting corrupt opposition leaders to join the BJP. This was done on a scale that projected the party being totally unscrupulous and Machiavellian. (3) Paying just a lip sympathy to the flood-affected victims. It looked as if he simply shrugged it off and then carried on his election campaign.
Now that the scenario has changed he will have to share power with the Sena on concrete, mutually acceptable terms. This requires diplomacy, humbleness and inclusiveness. Undoubtedly, the BJP was nursing Putin-like ambition of grabbing unrivalled power for decades. The rabid display of the authoritarian ambition was nauseating. BJP may win or lose power. But this will have to be based on merit and performance. BJP doesn’t enjoy divine rights to rule the country for eternity. This is the moral of the story.
So far as Sharad Pawar is concerned, the praise showered on him appears to be somewhat exaggerated. All he has done is to save his party from extinction. The medium term survival prospects of the party still appear to be beak, more particularly in the post-Sharad Pawar era. One may wish him long life, but he not getting younger. This is the hard reality.
Performance on the ground has been patchy. Agriculture, water conservation, the issues that matter to rural Maharashtra are arguably no better than they were in 2014. Not one major infrastructure project, starting with the long delayed Navi Mumbai airport, has been delivered. For all its huge budget, the BMC – with the Shiv Sena since before many Mumbaikars were born – does not deliver a stellar urban experience. 2. It is time for the two estranged partners to share the fishes and loaves equitably and restore Maharashtra to its leadership position in India.
Please have some coffee before you write. BJP was expecting 200-220 seats by contesting 150 seats?
EVM also cannot deliver it!
By the way, will the SECULAR Congress- NCP support Communal Shiv Sena for five yers with BJP in the oppostion?
I look forward to this mouth watering proposition
