We aren’t being funny. Just reading the ‘Writings on the Wall’ in Telangana, where KCR has redefined handouts and welfare. Yet, it’ll take him more to win.
Cricketer-turned-politician Mohammed Azharuddin's appointment comes ahead of the 7 December assembly election in Telangana.

A major contradiction in the TRS campaign is that it is seeking to woo Andhra settlers even as it tries to make this election a Telangana-vs-Andhra battle.
KCR and prof. Kodandaram were instrumental in Telangana achieving statehood but are now on opposite sides, with the prof. tying up with Congress, TDP & CPI.
Naidu attempts to shield aqua farmers after Trump’s tariff hits the shrimp farming sector in Andhra Pradesh, leading to the cancellation of 50% of the state's exports.
Company builds microsatellites that are smaller, faster, cheaper to produce. ICEYE will develop & launch micro-satellites, hand them over to India, which will have full control & sovereignty.
What Munir has achieved with Trump is a return to normal, ironing out the post-Abbottabad crease. The White House picture gives us insight into how Pakistan survives, occasionally thrives and thinks.
CASTE, FAITH AND FREEBIES.

You are right that present Indian politicians have no issues except Castes, Religions and Gods. It is unfortunate that politicians of all hues do not give any idea about developing the nation. But they are competing with each other in this field. The one who garnered votes in previous election, too fell prey to this dirty game of Mandir, Masjid, and Caste/Clan. Irony is that, we Indians too enjoy this game and vote accordingly. Another field is of offering freebies and reservations to various groups. But they least bothers to explain as to from where the funds and jobs will come and neither, we the voters ask this question. Now a days no party talks of providing jobs by building industries, modernising agriculture and small scale traders. They are just openly bribing voters, who too are accepting willingly. The law should be so amended that offering freebies in election manifestoes be treated as bribe and the candidates and parties banned from elections. It has become fashion among farmers and certain other big business persons to take loans from banks, enjoy in spending lavishly and then seek loan wavers. And politicians are too willing to encash this for votes.
I find the article lacking seriousness and a bit muddled. It is as if KCR is just focusing on freebies. There is no serious assessment of whether the schemes are beneficial or not. There is no mention of the state’s growth rate or investment in power and irrigation sector which will benefit the state over the long run. There is no mention about whether the modified industrial policy has benefited the state in anyway. Similarly distribution of fish seed is helping in greater production of fish in at least a portion of the revived water bodies. This kind of writing – not expected from Shekhar Gupta
After reading this column, which sounds like it deals with a member of OPEC, feel like applying for a permanent resident visa for Telengana. KCR has got the steak of Hyderabad, CBN is chewing the salad leaves of Amaravati. 2. It is evident the state is splurging the revenues that are generated in the city of Hyderabad. For a start, as with similarly placed Bombay and Bangalore, the city should be ploughing more of its surplus into its own development as a world class cit, not paying farmers a straight subsidy of upto eight thousand rupees per acre annually. Beyond the substantial revenue transfers taking place within the state, if Telengana is piling up debt – what is its fiscal deficit, in percentage terms ? – then that is certainly not something to be dismissed as “ bakwaas “. After the general election, the fiscal situation of the Centre and most states will need a comprehensive review. See how Maharashtra is helping itself to the Shirdi Sai Baba Sansthan’s slender resources. India is on an unsustainable path.
