People who can afford Botox and nip and tuck may be able to throw money at you, not the common man, BTW what would be the wealth quotient of this person? Greed seems to be unbending.
Apollo hospitals is a looting brand.. they wants to cover all the profits from COVID patients.. since their business is slow. Personally experienced them n I think are a money making factory and doesn’t care about the treatment. For maternity if 3 days they made s bill of 2.8 lac no break up .. all the charges are random and the patients fault was only being found covid positive. When they do not have treatment for covid then why have they inflated the bill.
Appreciate her point of view, yet hospitals should have predefined costs in a menu form. Like PPE may be charged on cost + 15% and not 400%, doctors visit charges have been raised to 5x than normal visits. Suddenly in times like this the hospitals are minting money. There is lack of transparency.
What she said that Indians have kept separate contingency fund for such health issues is an assumption beyond understanding. The economy is down, there is no income, many have lost jobs or business is almost at zero. No one plans for all this.
Agree madam. I person who can simply stay away from others eat healthy food and get healthy is actually forced to stay in hospitals and charges Lacs as package which is very less
All hospitals should be taken under govt supervision. The cost of medicine, doctors charges and procedures for every thing should be capped. It’s a profession to safe life. You can’t ripp-off people saving and say now go live your life on road.
The Indian government should device a system where like abroad we have good hospital who do procedures at lower cost. Government should provide mandatory insurance policy atleast for those who pay taxes from their hard earn money. The premium amount may be capped at 2% of the taxes received from an individual. The taxpayer can then take a top-up on the policy based on their requirement. It’s only the tax paying gourp who does not get any benefit from government. Lower cast get exemption higher income group people don’t care as they get loans. It’s only the salaried and mid level income group people who get taxed.
Actually specifically private hospitals charge 10 to 25 lakhs for Corona treatment which is completely not acceptable. Any one can clearly see that this cost is completely for profit of the hospitals. You may charge maximum upto 2 lakh per person for Corona.
It is unfair to the patient’s to have a open ended treatment cost. Profit cannot be a motive in these testing times. If hospitals stop calculating the treatment costs on the MRP of the items/medicines used, instead on the actual procurement price. They will still have a huge profits at these rates.

Well I guess this is the time they need to reduce the prices for taking care of people dying around them.
If they watch the news and the pregnant lady and many more died just because hospitals didn’t allow them in…
