However making much of absorbing development cost or waiving off profit presumably 10% (?) of cost makes not much impact -this being merely book transfer only.
As far integration of Brahmos on the aicraft is concerned, all steps like store safe separation by CFD analysis using standard program, if required wind tunnel testing to authenticate store separation ( recalling such test was done 50 years back at NAL Blore in trisonic wind tunnel for adaptation of an AA missile on MiG 21). In any case store separation from hardpoints with ERU’s does not pose much problem. Aspect of possible surging of engines when rockets fire in viscinity of aircraft after release?
Last but not the least Brahmos as per info in Wikipedia costs $2.73 million ie about Rs 16.5 crores each. Is it not the cost to benefit ratio too askewed to carry a payload of only 300 kg? Brahmos USP is its high KE which be used against hard tragets but then its warhead must be designed to withstand stresses while penetrating say reinforced concrete and deliver the charge at the target.
Kudos to engineers and technicians at HAL and team of Brshmos. They have created a great technological achievement. India has grown from period not from last 3 years as claimed by few psychopants. India has developed in technology and infrastructure of PSUs they should be encouraged.
Kudos to HAL & Bramhos teams and all the companies and technical staff who made this possible. However Its not right that the Bramhos CEO who would have spend 1300 Cr to Russia got the job done for 80Cr as a loss to HAL and maybe countless companies. This is where we are destroying india entrepreneurs and investor interest in indian PSU. They should have paid a proper amount , if not 1300 Cr so as to spur companies and know how, as that will have a much greater impact on the country and economy, than the limited but important technical achievements that this project has enabled. We have missed the woods for trees !!! hope defence ministry never makes this mistake again to pay less!!
Please make sure Tejas project is successfully executed that enables a mark in the history of indegenious fighter technologies. REQUESTING IAF to support wholeheartedly no matter what. After all who else can support apart from IAF
If ISRO can be a world leader in its specific expertise, then no reason why HAL cannot do it. Indian clever have been teaching aeronautical engineering for long. A proper military-industry set up will help absorb and polish this talent further.

Great achievement of HAL. HAL can take up any challenge provided believe in HAL and allow to upgrade it’s technology and give freedom to do so.
