nice article except that the 1971 war CANNOT replace the Vietnam War: in 1971, India was on the side of righteousness and won on the behalf of oppressed people under the banner of secularism; the Vietnam war was a futile war, with America clearly the oppressor, on the side of repression and colonial powers and was ultimately the looser. America perpetrated horrors on the Viets, India, thankfully, was not so brutal in 1971 (though of course Indian army has its own sad history of atrocities too).
