What we need is forced exodus of people from Mumbai with the exodus of industries so that over dependence on Mumbai’s crumbling infrastructure gets reduces.

Given the city’s gargantuan appetite for water, a mild year long drizzle which makes Ireland the Emerald Isle is not good enough. We need immense downpours of the sort seen in the last few days to fill up the lakes. The BMC has no shortage of financial resources. The Shiv Sena controlled body can give a better account of itself. The manner in which Bombay has grown adds to the problem.
