1- Modi should have shifted the venue of his speech to some other place like Gandhi Statue outside Parliament and not invited any one keeping Covid situation in mind. After all, we need to find new venues for such speeches and one need not stick only to Red Fort all the time.
2- He should have laid down what steps he is taking for ease of business and removing regulations and controls by officials for Atmanirbhar Bharat. After all, Atmanirbhar Bharat is possible if government makes it easy for business to produce in the country. He should have appealed to people to prefer using Indian goods, Indian organic food and items produced in different parts of India like Ladakh, North East etc like indigenous millet, fruits and so on to encourage organic farming and supporting livlihood of our people. HE should have appealed for being health conscious, do yoga, eat alkaline food etc to improve their immunity and health conditions. But he did not put any such responsibility on people.
Not a serious watcher of I Day speeches. Columnist Shivam Vij has tweeted that PM ABV ( a spellbinding orator )’s speeches in 2002 and 2003 were 25 and 30 minutes long. Mother used to tell us, the Panditji’s shlokas went on for so long, she kept nodding off during her wedding ceremony.
