I dont know the current reporting structure of defence chiefs to the newly created CDS. Pakistan Bangladesh srilanka Myanmar or even for that matter Thailand had suffered. If this position is that of co ordination within the services it might be useful as we are in a much more matured environment than 50s and 60s.
