You have reported that Pranayama belongs to Dalit-Christian . But as per government classification of castes, only in Hindu Community, Dalits are a caste. In Christianity there is no caste at all. From where you created this new caste/category “Dalit-Christian ” . Please don’t misguide the society by your writing. While describing the story, you did even spell out any word about Pranay . And you did not even expressed your opinion of the package offered to Amrutha as a compensation. If she is eligible for that in the opinion of Telangana care-taker government, what about the others those who have lost in Telangana struggle, who lost in brutal murders like this after formation of Telangana, Rytha,who were committed suicides due to their bad loans on agriculture, etc etc. while writing this type of episodes, you must have a broad look and anylise every aspect of this issue. Here I saying, if the girl married a guy who belongs to her own cast means, her father definitely will accept this marriage. Why you people not accepting this, one life is gone now. Caste can’t be changed while living in India..a person can try to remove caste by doing conversion in another religion such as Christianity or Buddhism…and may feel free from caste …but in reality ..caste Hindus never acknowledge it…they treat them like Dali’s only and this is not a rare instance…dalit Christian don’t get reservation benefits as dalit Hindus..but if dalit Christian got converted to Hinduism again..they will be treated as dalit Hindus…read supreme court judgement regarding this…you think that a dalit Hindu if got converted to Christian..he or she will become of general category…your perception is wrong..due to reservation and other benefits they are treated as of general category..but in ground reality…they are treated as scheduled castes..not only by caste Hindus..but privileged castes of the same religion..in this case Christian also…read some literature first…and then speak…or just type dalit Christian or conversion of Dalits in Christianity…u will get idea…in which India..we are living in.
