CBI has accused Environics Trust of violating Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act provisions by diverting money for cyclone relief to pay people to agitate against proposed JSW group steel plant.
These investments & projects will help in producing high quality ‘melted and manufactured in USA’ steel products, said Parth Jindal, director of JSW Steel USA.
The project is one of the largest in the country’s manufacturing sector and the environment ministry’s approval came after it heard people’s views on the plan, JSW Steel said.
JSW beat out rivals Tata Steel Ltd. & Liberty House Group with a bid of about Rs 19,700 crore, and now adds 3.5 million tons a year of capacity to its operations.
