” Ventilator Scam”…It’s corollary to wastefull expenditure in this tough times due to sequalae of cut & copy policy by Health Administrators of this country without ground level understanding of present scanario. A ventilator needs besides trained manpower , continuous oxygen supply through pipelines…. whereas no such additional facility is available or is planned for in any proposed hodpitals. Further, there are numerous hospitals where ventilators were purchased and kept idle in absense of required gas pipe line support. In the scanario of Biological Disaster, trained health professionals rationing is required more in Hospitals in order to ” save the Preventable deaths” than to hasty, unplanned and wastefull purchases of high end medical equipments. Other than breifing the number of deaths and roles of various organisations in speed of pandemic, ICMR and related public health care institutions of Country is miserably failed to give any guidelines for uniform treatment protocols for COVID suspects, identified or in hospital patients. No such guidelines for Quarentine of transporters of COVID, Doctors after duties or procedures for handling or disposal for death has been furnished.
