In Telangana, reports of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s political sorties in what’s believed to be a personal aircraft are keeping the political circles abuzz. Even his cabinet colleagues are questioning in hushed tones the CM’s exclusive use of a private aircraft for state travels.
While no official records suggest that the aircraft was purchased with taxpayers’ money, sources close to Reddy suggest it has been leased from a private party.
While the CM has often patted himself on the back for fiscal austerity measures, citing his economy-class travel on IndiGo when flying to New Delhi, his private jet has created a high-altitude paradox of sorts.
The chief executive appears to be navigating a dual reality—balancing budget-conscious public optics with personal preferences—which raises questions about the legitimacy of his jet-setting habits.
A call for protest & a conversation-stopping clarification
At an event at the Constitution Club of India in New Delhi Saturday, the air was heavy with a mild scent of anticipatory revolution after several attendees raised their hands to express their willingness to protest against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) and the High-level Committee on Demographic Change, and even go to jail if necessary.
The audience was eminent, with many former bureaucrats, ex-judges, lawyers like Vrinda Grover, Yogendra Yadav, Arundhati Roy, and students eagerly listening to experts talking about citizenship, SIR, and the Election Commission of India and Supreme Court’s role.
After a six-hour long discussion, right before the session was to end, a clarification came from former Chief Election Commissioner S.Y. Quraishi, who was one of the panelists. “I am not ready to go to jail because all of you will get bail… only I won’t, for obvious reasons,” he remarked.
The implication of the statement was writ large on the faces of everybody present. The Chair for the Conclave, Dr G.N. Devy took the mic to respond, “Even if that response was in a lighter vein, that such a response should come from a former IAS officer and a former Chief Election Commissioner paints a tragic photograph of who we are.”

UP Dy CM Pathak to the rescue after SP leader suffers cardiac arrest
Samajwadi Party chief spokesperson Rajendra Chaudhary recently suffered a cardiac arrest at the party office, triggering panic among leaders. Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and others immediately rushed him to a nearby government hospital. Within minutes, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, who holds the health portfolio in the state cabinet, reached the hospital and personally monitored the medical arrangements.
Outside the emergency ward, Pathak and Yadav spent considerable time together, while doctors attended to Chaudhary. Before leaving, Pathak assured Yadav that he was “just a phone call away” if any further assistance was needed.
Nitin Nabin’s Lucknow visit: UP BJP picks five-star hotel over party HQ for meetings
During his two-day visit to Lucknow, Bharatiya Janata Party national president Nitin Nabin Saturday held a series of meetings with the party’s senior leaders, MLAs and MPs from Uttar Pradesh. Interestingly, all the meetings were held at the five-star Hotel Taj in the city—a departure from BJP’s usual practice of holding organisational meetings at the party’s state headquarters, or auditoriums of government universities.
According to UP BJP functionaries, the venue was chosen to avoid traffic congestion around the party headquarters, located in the heart of Lucknow. However, party insiders claimed the venue was finalised by newly appointed state party president Pankaj Chaudhary and state organisation in-charge Dharampal Singh. But sources close to the two leaders maintained that the idea came from the national president’s office.
On Saturday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath personally received Nabin at the airport and was present for all the meetings at Hotel Taj, which makes it apparent that the CM was also in favour of the venue. After the meetings, Nabin attended a dinner at the CM’s official residence.

The former CEC is so disgusting and so slimy that he is pretending as if he won’t get bail because he is a Muslim. Bro if you think this country is not fit for you, take asylum in Europe. They are willing to take you. (TBF they are also realizing what demographics can do to you)
